EU Biodiversity strategy for 2030

EU Biodiversity strategy for 2030 is one of the numerous strategies under the European Green Deal.
Nature provides us with the food that we eat, materials to build structures, a solid ecosystem that filters our air and water, keep the environment in equilibrium, helps cope with global warming, and also additionally provides for the economy, which makes biodiversity essential for the sustainability of our lives. The imbalance in nature’s equilibrium caused by us in the form of overexploitation of the resources and mass deforestation makes nature disappear quickly

A global leader and a policymaker like Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, believes, to fight this climate change and disease outbreaks, there is a need to make nature healthy again, and the European Green Deal according to her is a path to this recovery.
EU Biodiversity strategy for 2030 aims to restore forests, wetlands, create green spaces in urban cities, establish protected areas of 30% of land in Europe and 30% sea of Europe. They also intend to restore degraded ecosystems at land and sea across the whole of Europe by increasing organic farming, reversing the decline of pollinators, reducing the use and harmfulness of pesticides by 50% by 2030, and planting 3 billion trees by 2030, which are few initiatives they are working on to accomplish the environmental change that is required by 2030.
According to the European Commission investing in the protection and restoration of nature will also lead to Europe’s economic recovery, as this strategy will not only restore nature but will also lead to approx. 104,00 direct and 70,000 and more indirect local jobs, and in the future, it is expected that it could generate up to 500,000 Jobs.
