#EuropeIndia40, an annual listing of next-generation leaders in the India-EU/ India-UK corridor, is an initiative of EICBI to discover the Top Under 40 Europe India Leaders. This listing covers the stories of leaders below 40 and their contributions to promoting EU-India / UK-India relations. EuropeIndia40 leaders are those who contribute to their area of work and create an impact in building stronger connections in the India EU / India UK corridor.

The 2019 class of #EuropeIndia40 leaders list was released at the European Parliament in Brussels. In contrast, due to Covid related issues, the 2020 class of #EuropeIndia40 leaders list and 2021 Class of EuropeIndia40 leaders were released virtually in the presence of leaders from the European Parliament, Indian Parliament and British Parliament. The 2020 and 2021 Class of leaders were later given their certificates at the European Parliament during the Europe India Leaders Conference on 28th June 2022

India and the EU have celebrated stronger diplomatic relations over the past few years. With Brexit opening new possibilities for furthering European India relations, India can look at having a renewed set of multilateral discussions with the EU and bilateral discussions with the UK. This has led to many conversations in the EU India trade corridor / UK India trade corridor that Brexit will make trade deals between the EU and India / India and the UK a little easier.

This year's list of EuropeIndia40 leaders is part of the EUIndia60 campaign. EUIndia60 campaign commemorates the 60 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and the European Union (EU) in the year 2022. Leadership would play a key role in developing stronger EU- India / UK-India relations compared to other factors. Young leaders with bright minds are not just seeking personal profit but are also committed to fostering closer cooperation between India and the EU / UK. From our experience of playing a key role in promoting EU India / UK India trade relations over the last decade, we can proudly say that future of the EU India / UK India relations looks very exciting as a new brand of young leaders is emerging from both sides.
