Europe India Centre of Business and Industry, which is managed by Sivaleen Foundation for Developed India, has carried out extensive work over the past few years in promoting trade and relations between India and European Union as well as between India and the UK. These summits and activities have provided a first-hand understanding of the Indian markets and business opportunities in India for the UK/ EU companies whereas the visiting delegations from India have been able to understand the market in the UK/ EU and the opportunities available in these regions. India Finland Conference, Trivandrum, Kerala, India

April 4, 2024

The India-Finland Conference, held at Trivandrum in Kerala on 4th April served as a platform for exploring lucrative avenues for Indian companies in Finland/ European Union (EU). The event, graced by eminent speakers and industry leaders from Kerala, shed light on the evolving landscape of EU-India relations and the flourishing trade dynamics within this corridor especially in Finland and Kerala. The conference ad the participation of HE  Mr Erik af Hällström - Consul General of Finland in Mumbai, Mr. K R Jyothilal IAS Additional Chief Secretary, Govt of Kerala and Government of Kerala’s NORKA CEO Ajith Kolassery. The other speakers who spoke during the session included EICBI Chairman Sujit S Nair, IETO President Dr Asif Iqbal, CA. Ranjith Warrier – Secretary, All Kerala Chartered Accountants Association amongst others.

EU India Leaders Conference 2024, European Parliament, Brussels, Belgium

March 6, 2024

EICBI convened its 5th Major session at the European Parliament in Brussels on March 6th, 2024. Titled the EU India Leaders Conference 2024 (EILC 2024), the session encompassed panel discussions addressing the current status of EU-India relations, along with focusing on collaboration opportunities in the automotive industry and medical equipment/ healthcare sector. 

 

Around 96 delegates from India, EU and UK registered to participate in the conference.

Mr. Lars Berg, a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Germany, delivered the welcome address, touching upon the topic of EU-India relations. Following this, Mr. Dacian Ciolos, MEP from Romania and former Prime Minister of Romania, as well as ex-EU Commissioner of Agriculture and Rural Development, presented his keynote address.

The EILC 2024 follows a series of 26 Major summits held at the British Parliament in London and 4 Major summits at the European Parliament in Brussels, organized by EICBI and its associate organizations over the past 13 years.

India Cyprus Trade Conference at Kochi, Kerala

The India Cyprus Trade Conference was strategically crafted to ignite trade promotion and strengthen relations between Cyprus and the Indian state of Kerala. The conference brought together around 100 business leaders from various small and medium-scale industries across different regions of Kerala and India. High Commissioner of Cyprus to India, H.E. Mr. Evagoras Vryonides, delivered the keynote address, underscoring the significance of the event. This collaborative endeavour between EICBI and IETO was aimed at enhancing trade promotion initiatives and nurturing robust bilateral relations between Cyprus and India.

EU India Roadshow - Hyderabad, India

December 17, 2023

EICBI conducted a roadshow in Hyderabad, India, aiming to assist smaller and medium-sized companies from the region in expanding their business into the EU market. The event emphasized participation in the EU India Leaders Conference scheduled for March 6th at the European Parliament, facilitating connections with relevant stakeholders for exploring opportunities in the EU market.

Primarily focusing on Automobiles, Medical Equipment, and Pharma sectors, approximately 50 entrepreneurs took part in this engagement. Mr. B. Lakshmi Kantham, IAS (Retd) and Vice Chair for Political Engagement at EICBI, moderated the session with business leaders. EICBI Chairman Sujit.S.Nair provided insights into sectoral opportunities and engaged with business leaders to address their inquiries.

Dr. G. Narendra Kumar, IAS - DG NIRD&PR, contributed his expertise during the interaction, sharing valuable insights with the entrepreneurs. Additionally, several entrepreneurs were granted the opportunity to present their ventures during the roadshow.

Engagement of Commonwealth with the UK India corridor at UK Parliament, London

Europe India centre for Business and Industry (EICBI) in collaboration with IETO and India Commonwealth Trade Council hosted a discussion titled "Closer Engagement of UK India Corridor with the wider commonwealth" on 28th November at UK Parliament in London.

This discussion was convened as a multifaceted platform, uniting Commonwealth nations to explore facets of trade, innovation, culture, and collaborative endeavours, with specific emphasis on India, Africa, and the UK. The event's agenda was structured to encompass critical themes including youth involvement, technological advancements, trade partnerships, green economy initiatives, and the promotion of ethnic inclusivity.

India-Romania Trade Conference held in Kochi, Kerala, India. The conference was jointly organized by EICBI and IETO. Her Excellency Ms. Daniela Tane, the Ambassador of Romania to India, along with her colleagues from Romania, actively participated in this conference. The event aimed to showcase business opportunities in Romania for Indian companies and foster closer trade relations between India and Romania. 

Romania, as a member of the European Union, plays a crucial role in the broader context of EU-India relations. EU India Leaders Conference 2023 at European Parliament & AWEX,Brussels

July 5, 2023

The EU India Leaders Conference 2023, the 28th conference of business meet series, was held on 5th July 2023. The morning session was held at AWEX Wallonia's office in Brussels and the afternoon session at the European Parliament in Brussels.

The morning session at AWEX centered on enlightening the visiting Indian delegation about the promising business opportunities available in Wallonia, offering them comprehensive information to support their endeavors. AWEX (The Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency) is a public interest organisation in charge of the promotion of foreign trade and the attraction of foreign investments for Wallonia in Belgium.

The afternoon session held at the European Parliament proved to be a platform for engaging and insightful discussions on crucial topics. These discussions encompassed significant areas such as the ongoing EU-India Free Trade Agreement, collaborative endeavors between India and the EU in the realm of Electric Vehicles and Battery Supply Chains, and the notable progress, as well as the challenges, encountered in EU-India Textile Cooperation. Adding to the event's significance, the esteemed EuropeIndia40 leaders were honored during this session as they received their well-deserved certificates from Mr. Niccolo Rinaldi, Directorate-General for External Policies of the Union/ Head of Unit for Asia, Australia, and New Zealand at the European Parliament. Additionally, attendees witnessed the release of the thought-provoking book titled "Operation Ganga"
authored by IAS officer Tarun Pithode, which narrates the inspiring tale of rescuing Indian students from Ukraine. Furthermore, the conference saw the unveiling of the EU India Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Relations Report. This report sheds light on the thriving ICT cooperation between India and the European Union, underscoring the immense potential for further collaboration in this field. These releases contributed to the conference's overall richness and offered valuable insights into various aspects of the
India-EU partnership.

Will a dedicated Indian Embassy for EU help to increase India's engagement with the EU ? - Virtual Interaction

The Mini Summit saw prominent current leaders and EuropeIndia Leaders put forth their views on this topic. Nine leaders (Current leaders and EuropeIndia40 leaders) from India and the European Union (EU) shared their inputs with the delegates. From the feedback we’ve received, it seems to be the first time an idea of this has been floated and we hope to build up on this activity by releasing a white paper on this theme in the next few months.

April 2023 happens to be the 60th anniversary of Mr Walter Hallstein visit to India. This was the first official visit of a senior European Commission official to India and took place between 5 and 13 April 1963. Mr Walter Hallstein is the first President of the Commission of the European Economic Community and one of the founding fathers of the European Union. Mr Walter Hallstein held interactions with India's then Home Minister Shri Gulzarilal Nanda and Finance Minister Shri Morarji Desai during his visit in April 1963.  Therefore, as EICBI celebrates the 60th anniversary of Mr Walter Hallstein visit to India this year, a virtual discussion on the theme of “Will a dedicated Indian Embassy for EU help to increase India's engagement with the EU? is being held on 28th April

UK India Business Conference 2022 - London Chamber of Commerce and Industry | UK Parliament | Brunel University | Croydon Council | Birmingham City Council

Outreach Programme in London, United Kingdom

September 15 - 16, 2022

EICBI organised a 2 days outreach programme in London for leaders from various sectors in India. 

​During the first day of EICBI's outreach programme in the UK, a delegation of leaders from India and the European Union was hosted by business advisory and accounting services Moore Kingston Smith at their Liverpool Street office in London. 

During the 2nd day of EICBI's outreach programme in the UK, a few leaders from India and the European Union were hosted by investment firm JPIN Investments Ltd. at their Portman House office in London. Europe India Leaders Conference 2022 at Eurochambres/ European Parliament in Brussels & Wallonia

June 28 - 29, 2022

Europe India Leaders Conference 2022, the 25th conference of our business meet series, was held over two days with two sessions on 28th June 2022 - the morning session at Eurochambres and the afternoon session at the European Parliament in Brussels, as well as an industry visit to Wallonia on 29th June 2022. The conference is part of EICBI’s EUIndia60 campaign to celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations between India and the EU. 28th June is an important day in the history of EU India relations as it was on 28th June 2000, the 1st India-EU Summit was held in Lisbon, Portugal.

 

​On 28th June, the summit focused on the operational challenges faced by small-scale businesses when they pursue their activities in India, and the EU and speakers shared their expertise on the financial, legal, marketing and sales challenges faced by companies while pursuing activities in the respective regions. About 20 speakers shared their knowledge on the 1st day of the summit, which was held at Eurochambres and the European Parliament. Nearly 100 organisations that work in policy, technology, manufacturing, education, Healthcare and other sectors attended the conference. 

On 29th June, Indian delegates were taken to a place called Wallonia to experience seeing EU companies in action and directly engaging in interactions with experts on the factory floor. 

During the session at the European Parliament, the EUIndia60 Legends coffee table book, an initiative of EICBI, was released. It is a collection of 60 legends who shaped EU-India relations as we see them today. Mr Soren Gade released the #EUIndia60Legends Coffee Table book in the presence of a Member of the European Parliament from Germany, Ms Svenja Hahn, alongside Mr Shishir Bajoria from IIM Shillong and Mr Deepak Bagla from Invest India at the European Parliament. The list comprises diverse individuals from diverse ambits - former and current Heads of States, ambassadors, businessmen, diplomats, critical players in cultural diplomacy and the arts and even figures from the sciences and education sectors hailing from India, the UK, and the EU countries. #EUIndia60 legends include 48 men and 12 women from 18 nationalities.

Virtual summit of EUIndia60 campaign - EU India: Building Perspectives for the next decade

On 2nd March, the 2nd summit of EUIndia60 campaign titled "EU India: Building Perspectives for the next decade" was held virtually. This virtual event looked at how EU India relations can evolve during the next decade. On this day in the year 1962, that is 60 years ago, Indian Ambassador Krishen Behari Lall presented his Credentials to Mr Walter Hallstein, President of the Commission of the European Economic Community. He was the first to also be accredited to the European Community

UK India Business Conference 2022 in London & Birmingham, United Kingdom

November 17 - 19, 2022

The UK and India are currently negotiating a free trade agreement. In this context, EICBI brought together leaders and other UK and India stakeholders to provide a platform to address concerns and showcase opportunities in the UK-India corridor.  These interactions were held over three days as part of the ‘UK-India Business Conference 2022 from 17th to 19th November. The sessions were held at the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, UK Parliament, Brunel University, Croydon Council and Birmingham Council. The conference had participation from trade body leaders, business leaders, political leaders and policy leaders from India and UK. The conference aimed to address concerns and anxieties faced by Indian and UK leaders and intends to provide access to the connections, financing, resources and strategic insight they need to grow their business in India and the UK.  The summit’s goal was to inspire business leaders from the UK and India about the potential of UK-India relations for a deeper commercial relationship.

Virtual release ceremony of 2021 Class of #EuropeIndia40 leaders

November 5, 2021

#EuropeIndia40, an initiative of EICBI which is in its 3rd year to discover Top 40 under 40 Europe India Leaders, covers the stories of young leaders and their contributions in promoting EU India / UK India relations.

The 22 women and 18 men who made to the 2021 class of EuropeIndia40 list come from all walks of life and represent 19 different nationalities - Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal Romania, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

2021 class of 40 under 40 Europe India Leaders list (#EuropeIndia40) was released virtually on 5th November as travel restrictions due to coronavirus pandemic affected our plans to have a physical event.​

For the virtual release ceremony, we had Members of Parliament from the British Parliament, European Parliament, Indian Parliament and representation from EU delegation in India who participated in the announcement ceremony.

Virtual summit of EUIndia60 campaign - EU India: A retrospective on 60 years of Diplomatic relations

On 27th January, EICBI organised the first virtual summit of the EUIndia60 campaign. This summit titled "EU India: A retrospective on 60 years of Diplomatic relations" looked at how EU India relations have evolved over the 60 years and the most critical events in EU-India relations over the past 60 years.  27th January is an important day in the annals of EU India relations as it was on 27th January 1962 that Indian PM Shri Jawarharlal Nehru sent a letter to the President of the commission of the European Economic Community, His Excellency Professor Walter Hallstein, which established the formal Diplomatic relations between India and the European Economic Community

Strengthening business co operation between India and UK/ EU - Virtual Interaction

As part of the initiative to promote the works of #EuropeIndia40 leaders, EICBI is running a campaign called “EuropeIndia40 VIEWS: Hear from the leaders who will shape the future of UK – India/ EU – India relations'. #EuropeIndia40 leaders are the set of leaders under the age of 40 whom we believe will play a key role in developing stronger EU India / UK India relations in the near future.  As part of this #EuropeIndia40 VIEWS campaign, EICBI is organising a series of virtual interactions on various topics which EuropeIndia40 leaders are passionate about so as to share their message and work with a wider audience. 

During the third MINI SUMMIT, 1 Indian MPs, 2 British MPs and 1 European Parliament MP participated in the discussion. Virtual release ceremony of 2020 Class of #EuropeIndia40 leaders

#EuropeIndia40, an initiative of EICBI which is in its 2nd year to discover Top 40 under 40 Europe India Leaders, covers the stories of young leaders and their contributions in promoting EU India / UK India relations.

2020 class of 40 under 40 Europe India Leaders list (#EuropeIndia40) was released virtually on 27th November as the corona virus Pandemic had effected our plans to have a physical event in the year. 

For the virtual release ceremony, we had Leaders from British Parliament, European Parliament and Indian Parliament who participated in the ceremony. 

 

From the Indian Parliament, we had Mr ALPHONS KANNANTHANAM - Member of Parliament - India/ Former Union Minister/ Member - Standing Committee for External Affairs, Indian Parliament/ Time Magazine Top 100 Global leaders in 1994. From the European Parliament, we had Mr NICCOLO RINALDI - Directorate General for External Policies of the European Union - European Parliament, Brussels. Europe India Beauty Summit at Croydon Town Hall & British Parliament, London

October 17, 2019

Europe India Centre for Business and Industry (EICBI) brought together beauty industry leaders and other stakeholders from UK, India and EU as part of its efforts to provide a common platform to address concerns and showcase opportunities in the beauty sector. These interactions were held during the “Europe India Beauty Summit” at Croydon Town Hall and UK Parliament in London on 17th October.  This conference was the 24th summit of the business meet series in the European Union (21 Major summits in British Parliament and 2 Major summits in European Parliament) which have been held during the course of this decade by EICBI and its associated bodies and brought together emerging beauty brands from India and European Union alongside disruptive beauty start-ups to shape the future of beauty sector in the EU India corridor.

The session at Croydon Town Hall was focussed more on helping companies understand the intricacies of setting up & running the business in UK and India whereas the session at UK parliament explored various opportunities and challenges for beauty industry leaders from UK, India and EU. Also, with all the discussions in UK and EU around Brexit and its implications on India, an interesting panel discussion with representations from British Parliament, European Parliament and Indian Embassy in London was organised during the UK Parliament session of the summit. This panel discussion had participation from Hon Bob Blackman MP - British MP, Harrow East, Mr Niccolò Rinaldi - Head of Unit for Asia, Australia and New Zealand - European Parliament & Mr Rohit Vadhwana - First secretary (Economic), High Commission of India.

 

The summit also saw the launch of #EuIndiaBeauty50 – Top 50 Emerging EU-India Beauty Leaders list, which acknowledged the contributions of 50 people from the European Union and India to the beauty sector. "#EuIndiaBeauty50 is an initiative of EICBI to discover Top 50 Emerging Beauty Industry Leaders in India & EU and acknowledge the contributions of 50 people from the European Union and India to the beauty sector. The women and men who made it to the EuIndiaBeauty50 list represented 16 different nationalities - Denmark, Finland, Germany, France, India, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom.

Europe India Business Leaders Conference at Flanders, European Parliament & Wallonia

Europe India Business Leaders Conference 2019, the 23rd conference of our conference series, was held on 10th April and 11th April with discussions and interactions on 10th April at Flanders investment agency and European Parliament in Brussels followed by the industrial visit to Wallonia on 11th April.

On 10th April, the summit focused on the operational challenges faced by small scale businesses when they pursue their activities in India and the EU and speakers shared their expertise on the financial, legal, marketing and sales challenges faced by businesses while pursuing activities in the respective regions. About 19 speakers shared their expertise on the 1st day of the summit which was held at Flanders Investment Agency and European Parliament. About 100 organisations working in the areas of policy, technology, manufacturing, education, healthcare and other sectors attended the conference. 

On 11th April, Indian delegates were taken to a place called Wallonia so as to get a firsthand experience of seeing EU companies in action and directly engaging in interactions with experts on the factory floor. 

During the session at the European Parliament, EICBI released its 2019 class of EuIndia40 - Top 40 under 40 EU India Leaders. EuIndia40, an initiative of EICBI to discover Top 40 under 40 EU-India Leaders, covers the stories of these young leaders and their contributions in promoting EU India relations. The 16 women and 24 men who made to the list come from all walks of life and represent 16 different nationalities - Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, India, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom. The list features young entrepreneurs, policy leaders, thought leaders, business executives, trade body leaders, all under the age of 40, who are going to play an important part in shaping European Union - India trade relations during the next few decades.

Europe India Business Summit at Hub Brussels, European Parliament & Wallonia

Europe India Business Summit was held in Brussels, the political capital of European Union, over the period of two day i.e on 25th September and 26th September so as to help Indian companies to know more about EU Market and tap opportunities in EU and EU companies to know more about opportunities in India. The summit had participation from a few of the companies from 28 European Union Countries and India, policymakers from European Union and India, Members of European Parliament and other invited guests.


On 25th September, the summit was focussed more on knowledge sharing with interactions and discussions at Hub Brussels and European Parliament. About 22 speakers shared their expertise on the 1st day of the summit. The discussion during the 1st day of the summit was aimed to showcase challenges and opportunities in India and the European Union so as to help  companies make better decisions while expanding into these markets. About 90 companies working in the areas of technology, manufacturing, education and healthcare attended the summit. 


On 26th September, Indian delegates were taken to a place called Wallonia so as to get a firsthand experience of seeing EU companies in action and directly engaging in interactions with experts on the factory floor.

Festival of learning India 2018 at The Leela Palace, Chennai

Europe India Centre for Business and Industry worked with Bournemouth University, one of UK's leading university, Bournemouth University ( BU ) , to organise the Festival of Learning India on 12th February at The Leela Palace, Chennai. The theme of the festival was "Global Education 2050: The Future of Learning in India and UK". The Festival of learning India builds on Bournemouth University’s (BU) popular UK-based Festival of Learning, which is now in its sixth year. The Festival of Learning is a celebration of learning and has showcased BU’s research and expertise to a wide and varied audience over the last five years.

The keynote address at the Chennai leg of the Festival of Learning-India 2018 was delivered by Mr. Shankar Vanavarayar (Entrepreneur & President, Kumaraguru College of Technology). The first session on Day 1 of the festival in Chennai was a panel discussion titled, ‘Developing Indian talent for the global world: what should education look like in the future?’ with Dr. Samantha Leahy-Harland from Bournemouth University as its chair, and Prof. S. Armstrong (University of Madras) and Ms. Bindu Bhaskar (Asian College of Journalism) as panelists. This discussion addressed various questions relating to education and employability, considering in particular the skills and attributes that Indian youth need to succeed in an internationalized world. This panel discussion was followed by a keynote address by Ms. Mahalakshmi Saravanan, Founder, Women Entrepreneurs India.

During the Festival of learning India, ‘Global Talent in India - Challenges and Opportunities for Skills Development in Higher Education’ report was released by Mr CK Kumaravel, Co founder of Naturals, India's No 1 hair and beauty salon which has close to 600 salons across India.. The report  was written by researchers at the UK-based Bournemouth University working with a range of Indian stakeholders including IITs, IIMs, the University of Madras and Delhi University.

India Technology Summit 2017 at UK Parliament, London

About 120 people crowded into Committee Room of British Parliament at the start of Global Entrepreneurship Week for this year's Europe India Centre for Business & Industry's (EICBI) India Technology Summit, held on 14th November, to listen to 28 speakers from pioneering British and Indian start-ups, major corporates and investors..

Supported by Sivaleen Associates and Empact Ventures with Silicon India as media partners , this curated event aimed to establish an understanding of the major technological challenges and opportunities in India and the UK, and to connect and enable people, companies and communities to work together. Since it was first held in 2012, the EICBI’s summits have engaged more than 2700 delegates from over 1000 companies. India Healthcare Summit 2017 at UK Parliament, London

Healthcare service providers from UK and India, policymakers from UK and India, Members of House of Lords & House of Commons gathered at the UK Parliament on 12th September to exchange healthcare related information as the two nations seek ways to extend access, improve quality, and lower the cost of care to their citizens.

 

Panel discussions during the summits focused on opportunities that are available in Indo UK healthcare corridor, role of medical apps in health care reforms, necessity of developing world class healthcare in tier 2 and 3 cities in India, innovations in healthcare which can help healthcare providers to optimize their resources, improving patient outcome and experience, benefits of Ayurveda and ethical sustainable healthcare. The business meet had about 162 delegates registered to attend the meet and about 25 delegates travelled from various South Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu & Telangana  to attend meet. The purpose of this meet was to generate  traction with UK M/SMEs to come to renewed Indian economy with new Government initiatives and the focus  was on Trade / Auto & Advanced Engg / Renewables/Healthcare & Innovation.

UK South India Business Meet,  was held on 10th July 2014 at the UK Parliament, Westminster, London. The business meet had Lord Swraj Paul as special guest and was chaired by Mr Virendra Sharma MP. The event was meant to herald innovative avenues to foster stronger UK-South India bilateral trade relations. The attendees included government representatives from South Indian states, Members of House of Commons, representatives from UK companies and Indian companies who are interested in South India and businessmen from South India who are successful in UK. The business meet had participation of more than 150 delegates from around 100 companies, based in United Kingdom, Middle East and India.

British South India Business Meet 2012 at UK Parliament, London

The British South India Business Meet 2012 was held to showcase opportunities in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The Chief guest of the business meet was Mr.Mike Nithavrianakis, British Deputy High Commissioner, Chennai, India who presented the opportunities in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The audience included members from Houses of Lords, Houses of Commons, representatives from UK Trade and Investment and UK companies who are interested in South India and businessmen from South India who are successful in UK.

Representatives from states in South of India ie Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh presented opportunities which are currently available in those states. These idea of this interaction was to provide more details to British companies about the investment opportunities in these regions. The presence of British Deputy High Commissioner for South India provided a good opportunity for British companies to directly put forth their investment concerns and queries to Deputy High Commissioner Mr Mike Nithavrianakis.

In conjunction with the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Queen and the London Olympics, UK South India Business Meet was held at the Houses of the Parliament. The UK South India Business Meet was the first of its kind in the UK for South India, involving the government and business organisation of Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and few other guest states from India interacting alongside UK government agencies, Members of Parliament, Ministers, political leaders and business organisations. This special event enabled the states from South India to utilise British expertise and its world-class technology for the infrastructure, Waste management, Education, Low cost housing in urban and Villages, Power & Energy and IT projects coming up in the states.This event was being chaired by Mr.Virendra Sharma MP and was supported by the British Deputy High Commission in Chennai and UK Trade and Industry (UKTI) and UK-India Business Council (UKIBC). The Business meet received an overwhelming response and  was attended by more than 110 delegates including executives from more than 60 UK companies.

The UK-Kerala Business Meet was the first of its kind in the UK for Kerala, involving the government of Kerala, UK government agencies and business organisations in the UK and Kerala. This special event was to enable Kerala to utilise British expertise and its world-class technology for the infrastructure, Waste management, Education, Low cost housing in urban and Villages, Power & Energy and IT projects coming up in Kerala.The event was chaired by Mr.Virendra Sharma MP who is the Chairperson of UK-Kerala Business Forum and was supported by the Indian High Commission in London, Dy. High Commission in Chennai and UK Trade and Industry (UKTI), UK-India Business Council (UKIBC) and Kerala Chamber of Commerce and IndustryThe “UK Kerala Business Meet” was held at House of Parliament, London and hosted by the UK Kerala Business Forum. The event brought together British Government, Government of Kerala, Infrastructure Companies and Funding Agencies.
